1. Preparation

Ensure the dental chair unit’s suction line is clean and functioning properly.

Select a sterile, single-use saliva ejector.

Bend the tube to the desired shape using the pre-formed wire insert.

2. Attachment

Insert the connector end of the saliva ejector firmly into the suction valve of the dental unit.

Confirm a secure fit to prevent air leakage.

3. Usage

Position the tip comfortably in the patient’s mouth, typically in the buccal sulcus.

Adjust the bend and angle for optimal fluid drainage.

Maintain continuous low-volume suction throughout the procedure.

Replace the saliva ejector immediately if suction decreases or contamination occurs.
