1.Preparation Clean and dry the tooth surface. Select the appropriate bur according to the desired step: finishing → smoothing → polishing. 2. Finishing Use the finishing bur at recommended low–medium speed. Shape and contour the composite restoration to achieve ideal anatomy. Apply light, intermittent pressure for controlled reduction. 3. Smoothing Switch to the fine/super-fine grit bur for surface refinement. Move in a sweeping motion to remove any minor scratches or irregularities. 4. Polishing Use the polishing bur to achieve a smooth, glossy, enamel-like surface. Operate at low speed with minimal pressure to avoid heat generation. 5. Cleaning & Sterilization Rinse the burs thoroughly under running water. Use a soft brush to remove debris. Autoclave at 134°C for 3–5 minutes before next use.
