Select the appropriate bur based on the required shape and grit for the procedure.

Insert the bur firmly into the handpiece chuck and ensure it is properly locked.

Operate the handpiece at the recommended RPM, following the handpiece manufacturer’s speed guidelines.

Apply light, intermittent pressure during use to prevent overheating and to ensure precise cutting.

Use adequate water spray for cooling, especially when operating high-speed handpieces.

After use, carefully remove the bur from the handpiece.

Dispose of single-use burs immediately after the procedure.
