Surface Strengthening Effect :

Research has shown that a strontium-based glass ionomer, when placed in a calcium-containing environment (such as saliva), allows calcium ions to diffuse into the surface of the glass ionomer. This results in a surface strengthening effect.

All GC Gold Label Glass Ionomer materials continue to strengthen over time when exposed to saliva.

A Consistent, Predictable Seal :

All GC Gold Label Glass Ionomer materials exhibit a glossy surface after mixing. This indicates that sufficient free polyacrylic acid is available to initiate the ion exchange process.

The subsequent movement of ions between dentin, enamel, and the glass ionomer creates an ion exchange zone, which chemically bonds them together.

The resulting seal is :

Consistent

Predictable

Long-lasting

Indications :

Cementation of metal or porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns, bridges, and inlays

Cementation of stainless steel crowns or orthodontic appliances retained with stainless steel crowns
