AERO-BLAST by Smart Dental Innovations is an advanced air polishing (sandblasting) system designed for gentle, efficient, and thorough dental cleaning. It uses high-pressure air combined with special polishing powders to effectively remove stains and deposits that are difficult to eliminate with conventional scaling methods

The Aero-Blast system instantly and gently removes tea stains, smoke stains, food debris, and soft calculus, including areas that are inaccessible to ultrasonic scalers, resulting in exceptionally smooth and clean tooth surfaces with reduced chances of re-deposition of dental calculus

Granular salts used during sandblasting dissolve completely in water, ensuring zero damage to enamel while providing superior prophylactic results

Step 1: Preparation

Ensure the device is properly connected to the air and water supply.

Fill the powder chamber with the recommended powder (do not overfill).

Securely attach the nozzle tip.

Adjust air and water pressure according to manufacturer recommendations (typically 2.5–4 bar).

Perform a short test spray away from the patient to confirm proper flow.

Step 2: Patient Preparation

Use high-volume suction to minimize aerosol dispersion.

Provide the patient with protective eyewear and a napkin.

Ask the patient to rinse before beginning the procedure.

Step 3: Clinical Use

Hold the handpiece using a pen grip.

Maintain a 3–5 mm distance from the tooth surface.

Recommended spray angles:

Contra-enamel: 60°

Posterior teeth: 80°

Anterior teeth: 90°

Use gentle sweeping or circular strokes.

Avoid directing the spray into gingival pockets.

Do not remain on one area for an extended time to prevent enamel abrasion.

Step 4: After Use

Ask the patient to rinse thoroughly.

Remove the powder chamber and discard any remaining powder.

Clean external surfaces using a soft brush and mild disinfectant.

Autoclave removable metal nozzles (if autoclavable).

Dry all components thoroughly before storage.
