  • Operate at the recommended RPM in accordance with the handpiece manufacturer’s speed guidelines.

  • Apply light, intermittent pressure to prevent overheating and to ensure precise cutting.

  • Ensure adequate water spray for cooling when using high-speed handpieces.

  • After use, carefully remove the bur from the handpiece.

  • Dispose of single-use burs immediately according to clinical waste protocols.
