Select Appropriate Matrix Band Choose a compatible sectional matrix band according to the tooth size and cavity type. Place the Matrix Band Position the band tightly around the prepared tooth ensuring proper gingival seal. Insert Wedge Place a wooden or plastic wedge interproximally to secure the band and prevent overhangs. Position the Matrix Ring Open the Ring O Matrix using ring forceps and place it firmly over the band and wedge to achieve optimal tooth separation and matrix stability. Check Adaptation Ensure the ring sits securely and the band is well-contoured against the marginal ridge. Proceed with Restoration Perform composite placement, layering, curing, and shaping as required. Remove Ring and Matrix After curing, gently remove the ring, wedge, and matrix band without damaging the restored surface.
