1. Preparation

Ensure the handpiece is disconnected from the dental unit and fully cooled.
Clean and dry the handpiece exterior before opening the head.

2. Cartridge Replacement

Use only the manufacturer-recommended press / removal tool.
Carefully remove the old cartridge, avoiding damage to the handpiece head.
Align the new cartridge correctly with the head bore.
Press evenly until the cartridge is fully and securely seated.

3. Bur Check

Insert a standard FG bur to confirm proper chuck engagement.
Manually rotate the bur to verify smooth, resistance-free rotation.

4. Lubrication

Apply 1–2 drops of approved high-speed handpiece lubricant at the drive air port.
Rotate the handpiece manually to ensure even lubricant distribution.

5. Testing

Run the handpiece initially at low speed, then at full operating speed.
Check for any abnormal noise, vibration, or overheating before clinical use.
